Switching to Prototype Mode is instant and easy, allowing you to test your designs with just one click.

How to Enter Prototype Mode

  1. Your design will immediately transition to interactive mode—buttons become clickable, navigation works, and forms accept input. The canvas refreshes to show your design in its interactive state, ready for testing.

If you're working on a multi-screen project, Prototype Mode maintains context across all your screens. You can navigate between screens using the links and buttons you've designed, just as users would in the final product. The left sidebar collapses to give you maximum screen space, putting the focus entirely on the prototype experience.

Use the back/forward arrows in the top navigation to navigate your browsing history, or click the refresh button to reset the prototype to its starting state.

Pro tip: Before entering Prototype Mode, make sure your interactions are set up the way you want them. While you can still make changes in Prototype Mode using the prompt field, it's often easier to add interactions in Design Mode first, then switch to Prototype Mode for testing and validation.
